Re-Evaluation Results

Based on public feedback, ITD reanalyzed the original four design alternatives using updated traffic data. Data confirmed that the US-95 and Appleway Avenue intersection must be grade-separated to meet the project goals.

Unchanged Design Improvements
  • I-90 widening from Northwest Boulevard to 4th Street

  • Single-point urban interchange (SPUI) at I-90 and US-95

  • Elevating US-95 over Appleway Avenue so the two roads are grade-separated and no longer intersect

  • Roadway widening and intersection improvements on US-95, 4th Street, and Northwest Boulevard

  • Bicycle and pedestrian improvements throughout the project area
